Road Works block Emergency Channels

ACREM Monitors in Queensland, working with other CB operators, have been working hard to identify and clear interference from road work sites that has been blocking the UHF CB emergency channels. With the amount of road works in and around the Brisbane area, the instances of traffic controllers and other road workers operating on UHF CB channel 35 has increased significantly in recent times. On several occassions Monitors have been helpless as traffic control operations were broadcast over UHF CB channel 35, effectively blocking the BNE05 Ocean View emergency repeater.
